Jen Boehler is an author/illustrator living on a hobby farm in a tiny Michigan town with her husband and two teens. Her historic studio is nestled amongst their garden, chickens, goats, and freshly-planted pine trees (an ill-fated attempt at growing her own forest).
Jen has degrees in Art + Graphic Design and Interior Design, and has served as the Co-Illustrator Coordinator for SCBWI-Michigan since early 2023. Her illustrations have been published in multiple magazines, featured on products, and appeared in logos crafted for local clients. Her storied artistic journey also includes years designing events, interiors, signage, florals, refurbished vintage treasures, and a line of Michigan travel apparel found across the state.
In addition to the pastoral scenes outside her window, Jen is inspired by anything quaint, charming or enchanted, especially when cloaked in humor. She listens to the classics, travels as often as possible, cooks what she grows, and thinks there is nothing quite like an evening stroll through a fire-lit campground.
